A warm welcome to the internet home of
Wood Learn Forest School

We are the only independent Forest School, Beach School and 'bushcraft skills for children' provider on the
Isle of Wight.

We hope you enjoy our website and we look forward to working with you (in the outdoors) very soon. We think you'll find real reality much more fun than virtual reality!

In March 2017 Wood Learn became a Forest School Association Recognised FS Provider.

The FSA is the UK's professional body representing, and speaking for, Forest School.

To become a Recognised Forest School Provider an organisation has to demonstrate excellence of delivery and management, as well as a full and on-going commitment to provide 'quality Forest School for all'.

In 2011 we were proud to be awarded Wightmark accreditation - the first limited company to be recognised in this way.

Late in 2014 we were proud to be adopted as a provider of activities within the Isle of Wight Council's Short Breaks programme. This scheme enables disabled children and their families to engage in challenging and fun activities. As part of our involvement, and with grant support from the local authority, we have purchased some specialist tree climbing equipment which will enable people to climb our beautiful trees using hand and footholds just like those used on rock-climbing walls. Don't worry, no trees are harmed in the process - the holds are strapped to the trees and removed after each session.
